Adult Formation

Any upcoming Adult Formation evenings/days will be listed under “New and Noteworthy.” This would include upcoming Scripture Studies, Parish Missions, Lenten or other seasonal evenings, Book Discussion groups, and so on. The primary focus for Adult Formation, as for all parish formation, is the monthly G.R.A.C.E. session. For information on these, click G.R.A.C.E. on the left.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic or, as an adult, confirmed, click SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION on the left, and then on the appropriate subheading.

Parish Vocation Committee
A group of 6-8 who plan ways to integrate vocation awareness into the life of the parish. Meets approximately 5-6 times a year. For more information please click on “Vocations Committee.”

Adults in their 20s and 30s
There are many different life situations which fall under the broad umbrella category of “young adult.” At SS. John and Paul, we prefer to talk about “Adults in their 20s and 30s,” since that is the age group that is being focused on by young adult ministry. It includes single and married, college, non -college, and post-college. The parish believes in involving this age group in all of its activities. As for all the parish members, the monthly G.R.A.C.E. sessions form the core formational times for this age group.

In addition, the parish supports the combined efforts of the North Macomb and Central Macomb Vicariates to gather and work with this age group on a more regional basis. A core team of young adults and young adult ministers from the two vicariates meets approximately 5-6 times a year to plan and evaluate events for young adults. For information on Vicariate young adult programs and gatherings, please click on “Emmaus-Ministries”.
